Hi Gareth, thanks for taking the time to respond. I was attempting to install Arch using the archinstall script (I know, I know…). I’ve since attempted to reinstall Windows but can’t even get to the BIOS to do it.I’m getting power to the USB ports and the power LED turns on so it’s essentially turned into a portable charger at this point!I knew I should’ve just got a second hand Thinkpad with a real SSD but the 89.99 price point was too tempting for a tinkering machine!Thank you!! You’ve just saved me a load of hassle.. previouspure evoke (used in garage) died, bought a second hand one from ebay, but it wouldnt tune to virgin (rarely listen, but sometimes chris Evan’s if I’m in garage early on) unlike previous one… ‘hmm’ thinks i.. ‘maybe an external aerial required’ .. tested it with aerial attached to another evoke used in kitchen. Still no virgin. Hmm. Tried retune several times. No joy. Various bits of google search about aerial.. found yours.. and saw the bit you wrote on ‘tuning aid’.. 《et voila!》.. and no external aerial required! Telescopic one perfectly fine!
